Auxillary Driving Lights

Anyone know where the switch for these goes?

Part # 51452355772.

You don't need the switch though it is possible to wire them up to come on whenever you have your high beams on.

Also They are more expensive if you have the led headlamps. I doubt these are led.

Anyone know.

Greg,
In the test car I drove they had the button for the driving lights on the right side of the steering column similar to where the key would go on a standard car.

They are typically wired up to ONLY work when the high beams are on (dumb IMO).

They are not LED

Are you sure they are more? They should be about 310$ plus install across the board.

Dave they are $600 plus install that I would do myself...they a re a bling thing. I had them on my R56 and they don't add much lighting wise...but look so cool especially f you add 4! Mini rally car!

Hmm. On the Configurator they are $311. My MA said they will install them at the dealership for labor cost (probably another 600). Is the 600 what they charge if you order them separate? I know the r56 were 600 on the Configurator.

I LOVE the way they looked on my R53 and I really like how they cover the "S" badge on the f56. Making it look more symmetrical.

Thinking of a whole new...more British front on the new car. Maybe the lights won't add much!

Just had mine installed for $850. My car was the very first one to be installed on F56 so it took them 3 days!!! They said they didn't get the correct wiring instructions :-( I did get a convertible as a loaner so I won't complain too much.

I was a bit disappointed that it covers the S badge in the front but it does give a cleaner look.

Now when will they release the official sport stripes for F56? I called two dealers with no luck!

OH I see, you are doing a retrofit. I was thinking with the vehicle purchase.

The configurator still shows that they are only 311 if you get them with the car, though my dealer said that they install them (probably miss-informed :D)

toshiyo..

How do the lights work? Do you have the LED headlamps (doubt you do)?

Do they add much to the lighting at night?

Stripes are in sock at Sewell...along with tons of other stuff.

Hey there it's still day light here in NJ but will find out soon. I was told by the MA that it only works with the high beam. And yes I do have the LED head lights too. Love it.

toshiyo - they had special driving lights that were more expensive for my R56 that were for the halo lights. They just used a more expensive power adapter or something - I would honestly be surprised if the lights contained LED bulbs!

Oh the driving lights themselves are not LED for sure. Just regular lights. I thought you meant headlamps which are LED. The bright LED doesn't match my yellowish driving lights but it doesn't bother me. I probably won't use it much anyways. just love the way it looks ;-)
