Accessories / Windshield Sun Shade

Hey, I am looking for a sunshade as my car is out in the sun a lot at work.

Do you guys think the old Mini Shade fit?
Amazon.com: MINI Cooper Genuine Factory OEM 82110035953 Sunshade 2002 - 2012 (will not fit Countryman): Automotive Amazon.com: MINI Cooper Genuine Factory OEM 82110035953 Sunshade 2002 - 2012 (will not fit Countryman): Automotive

Or any other alternatives?

Also, do you guys know where I could buy some of that key chain?

Can be a bit pricey, but are fun...try ArtisticReflections.com. Kristen Yadao is member of 5280 MINI club out of Denver and she does the eye shades that look like "eyes" on the "Cars/Cars 2" movies. They are the sturdy shades like MINI accessories, not flimsy. She will do custom orders as well.

I got an official Mini one in a box in my boot when I picked up my Coupe last weekend. I'm not gonna use it if you are interested. I think it was a "dealer installed option". PM me.

I have the OEM Mini sunshade you linked currently. It was always a bit loose in my R56 and it is a bit tight in my F56. When I put it in place it pushes against the mirror very snugly. A bit more than I am personally comfortable with. I am thinking of modifying it to allow the indentation that goes around the mirror reduce the pressure it puts on it.

In addition: I just went to look and see what the Mini site said regarding this "part" and the current sunshade offering is not listed as compatible with the F56 so I guess they are aware it doesn't fit properly.

Any updates on what sun shade will work? I'm pretty sure the "jumbo" ones on Amazon will be too big.

You can get the cap/lanyard at http://mini.sewellparts.com/accessor...2014/6812.html

I got the rear seat covers from them, fast shipping.

They don't list them for the 2014 Mini yet but I love my Eclipse sunshield. It mounts along the windshield pillars and then slides open. Very handy and easy to use and because its always ready I use it far more, Will order one as soon as they are available.

Thanks Doug - went to Eclipse - very cool and affordable approach to the sunshade issue. Thanks for sharing - MT Motorin

Oem old one fits the f56 very well, it just takes a little maneuvering around the rear view mirror. Still nothing listed for the 2014+.
