Finally got around to photographing in sunlight.

You can clearly see that the factory didn't notice Satellite Grey color line on the order right on the color line, that's clearly the Carbon Black. Oh well.

Looks good. I'm getting the Thunder Gray also. I am in Texas also. I have seen posts about the front license plate mounting. Keep us informed about how your plate mounts. Is a special bracket required as some have shown?

Yeah, you have to get that to get the flappy paddles.

 

Does it have much metallic to the paint?

 

I have the center mount bracket from the dealer but will be trying a tow hook mount. Have it safely in the back until the plates arrive.

 

A moderate amount. It doesn't really glisten in the sun. Not nearly as much as dark silver did. It doesn't look pasty or dark primered as it would if it were non-metallic.

 

Seems like ever picture of that color looks different.

Yeah, it really reacts to available light and looks darker in shadows than you'd expect. The front-on shot is what it looks like in bright sunlight and is rather accurate. It's darker in most scenarios than you'd imagine though.

 

Great Pics! The great thing about this color is you can add any color to it. Mirror covers, stripes, Roof graphic, skuttles... and that fabulous grey will be affected by the highlight. They designed this color for that! Check it out it is the show car for all accessories!

Mine is do in about 2 weeks and I think ours are about the same set up. I just have white stripes but I'm looking forward to seeing your pics! Thunder Grey with white should look super fresh.
