^^What they said!

With April around the corner, and the last snowfall scheduled for Easter weekend, looks like I'll be able to finally get my setup put on before the winter starts again. Can't wait!!

Here is my mini. This is my first mini and we are happy with it so far. Been driving BMW for the past 10 years.

Parking Lot Pics

Finally warming up here, in Toronto - so I gave my Mini it's first hand-wash of the year. And took it out to an office parking lot, for some pictures at sunset..

Wheels

I love how the look of your mini! I'm looking to put some 18x8's ET40 on my f56. I can't tell very much from your pictures, but do your wheels stick outside of the fenders? And if so, by how much?

Nice mini! Where did you get your plate relocator from? Did you ask the dealership not to drill your bumper?

Finally it's warming up! But here's what it looked like 6 weeks ago. MINI Canada invited a bunch of MINIacs to have fun in the snow. This is me sliding through the course. It was great fun and proved that snow tires are a must in our climate.

That was at the Orangeville Fair grounds. I don't know how the invites were allocated but I got in through my club affiliations; SOMC (southern ontario mini club) and TMC (Toronto MINI Club).

Thanks - the plate relocator was the Platypus from Craven Speed; great build quality, only thing is the screws are a little long if you don't have a cover.. i ended up putting some hockey tape over the threads on the back, so that it doesn't hit the bumper (I don't think it would under normal driving). I've also heard their customer service is top-notch, if you really wanted shorter screws.

And yes - I asked the dealership not to drill the bumper, they couldn't guarantee that it wouldn't be drilled at VDC (they've had similar requests, that may have fell through - my MA did add notes to my build sheet) so it was a tense few days when I found out it had arrived at port. But in the end, save for the two small dimples, my front bumper arrived nice and fresh :-)

That would be our own CravenSpeed springs, not yet available as they are still being tested.

Do they drop the rear enough to be level with the front? I would consider springs over coilovers if they didn't give the car a rake.

Sweet! I wish I had that option originally. Mine was bought off the lot, so it was already drilled. However, either road debris or some goof in a parking lot cracked my bumper right beneath the tow hook slot, so i'm going to see if I can get them to not drill it when they repair it this time.

ah sorry to hear about the crack, that would have had to be some large piece of road debris to crack that bumper; but yes, hopefully you can get a fresh bumper sans holes :-).

I've had a few chips to the windshield lately, I think it's a combination of the left-over winter dirt, near-vertical windshield and me following to close :-(...

Both are free to join. There's a bunch of fun events coming up. Hopefully this year we will have a Spring Rattler (cruising through Muskoka), last year we got almost 50 cars out. Nice people with great cars. Tell 'em Oost or Lightwrangler (I'm known by both) sent ya! Or don't, suit yourselves.

Hasn't arrived yet but planned are:
VMR V710 wheels (18 x 8.5: ET 45)
H&R springs
Tint
Black striping to replace white, but probably 2 side by side
Need input on either black stripes continuing over roof (no sunroof) or paint roof black. Not too many red roofs around. I'd like to make it work if possible.

Car is 2014 w only 145miles

All Red Minis are cool. Probably would look better with black stripes.
I would make sure to research those wheels on Mini's, I would be concerned that they will protrude outside the fenders making rubbing a possibility especially when lowered. Cool car have fun.
