So, have any of you placed a recent order? Whats the timeline you are seeing to get your car into production?

 

I ordered from So Cal on 4/12 and was told 6-8 weeks for a solid color.
6-8 weeks from order to dealer delivery to me.

 

Before it starts production, or for it to be built and shipped?

 

Placed my order on 4/21, got a production number on 4/23. Now I'm just waiting for the status to change from "On Order". I ordered the car with body matched roof/mirrors as well, to avoid the recent painting delays.

 

I ordered 4/8 production starts soon Wisconsin solid deep blue fully loaded I was told delivery end of June early july

 

Ordered mine 4/14 VO/blk with HK stereo. In production the same week. Hotline says it will be done by 5/13.

The dealers order cars to have on lot for their store, so those orders are in line.
A special order may just be a matter of the dealer changing the details
of the build order they have initiated previously.
If those spots are all full w/ special customer orders, the wait may be longer.
Depends on how many slots the dealer has been allocated.
Those allocations depend on past dealer production (sales).
A So Cal dealer may have a large number of allocations.
The Greenland dealer may have a smaller number.

 

Hmm, perhaps this is why my cars information in "Review Order Details" is showing incorrect specifications.

 

Ordered 4/12 and was given a Production Number immediately (I assume they replaced an existing order with mine), was initially told 6-8 weeks total time until I could drive it off, then emailed 4/14 and told because of my contrasting roof it would be delayed and not enter production until Mid-May, but then told a couple hours later that they had moved it up in their schedule and it should be entering production soon. It still hasn't yet though.
I refresh the tracking status a lot though, I figure maybe they'll see how desperately I keep checking and get it going quicker for me. That'll happen, right?

 

I was initially told I would be an early July build due to the HK option and contrasting roof. Dealer called me today and said they are able to slot me for 2 week of May production which had surprised me since I thought they were not working on contrasting colored roofs for the next month or two.

I went into the dealer on Saturday, 4/19 to order. Gave the specs and was told they would price it out on Monday 4/21. On Mon, sent me an e-mail that there was a hold on contrasting roofs and H-K radios. I said I would stay with my specs and take delivery whenever. Pretty loaded S model. They said they would see what they could do. Heard back today that production was set for June. No production number supplied yet. In fact, the dealer was supposed to write it all up and have me sign off on all the specs to ensure they were ordering it correctly. So, not sure if I really have one ordered yet or not.

Typically, yes. If you order replaced an order the dealer already had in the queue you will see old details for a few days.

My BRGII was Grey at first. Took about 2 days and then it was right.

I went to my dealer on April 15 to order VO/B fully loaded. My MA showed me a car the dealership ordered for their lot. Basically the same as what I wanted. Got my VO/B MCS on April 24.

I suggest, if you have not, asking your MAs for their MC & MCS inventories.

On a side not, my car was a Priority 1 (on the VIR). Maybe dealers are getting special priority.

 

I ordered mine from mini of the fox valley too.

 

Or maybe a customer-ordered car where the customer changed their mind or couldn't get their loan approved.

 

 

Entered production 4/1, scheduled to hit the port on 5/2. No idea how long it will take to get to the dealer from there.

 

Vesselfinder.com shows my ship "Columbia Highway" about 10 miles off the coast of Virginia Beach Virginia. It was due in to Baltimore today so that's right on schedule. Lets see how long it takes to get on it's way to Alabama!
