So, I have a deep blue / white top and mirrors on order. I'm thinking about one of the two Union Jack side scuttles. My wife doesn't like the union jacks. Her response was "we're not British. Why would you do that?" She doesn't get it :D

Is anyone else going the scuttle route? And lucky current owners have scuttles that would like to share a photo?

Going Black Jack on Volcano Orange

 

pepper white and black roof with black bonnet stripes. Getting grey and black mirror caps and scuttles. They are on order and the dealer will install as soon as they come in.

Just have to get past the HK speaker hold first so my order can be submitted. It's in my MA's drawer for now....

The local dealer had a VO with checker side-scuttles, which didn't look bad at all.

 

My dealer had one with side-scuttles and front driving lights. MY MA didn't like the side-scuttles. I had to agree, at least with the style the dealer chose. Thankfully there are many choices.

 

I will be probably be going Gold Jack on my Volcano Orange. Dealer said they will send pics with them up against the VO when they get the gold jacks in.

 

FYI the configurator is now showing scuttles, mirror caps, etc. visually on the builds. Seems to have shown up over the past week or so.

 

Midnight black with black/grey side scuttles and mirror caps. I love how this looks and it pretty much sold the car for me. This car was on the dealer showroom and I fell for the checks and just had to have it!

 

I'm debating this too. Seems like its a fine line between adding a splash of flair or overdoing it so that it looks tacky. I think scuttles and mirror covers may be too much. I dunno... Thinking one or the other right now.

 

I'm debating the JCW Pro red/gray-checker ones for my stripeless TG. It can wait though. It's apparently permanent, so I don't want to rush in. I think the Black Jack ones would look great on TG but it might be too flashy for me.

I generally don't like for stripes or chrome or mirror caps as I prefer a low-key look. Even black wheels are a bit too flashy for me.

(I'm boring.)

I might go with the JCW. rear-view mirror cap though as it'll be more subtle. The car could use a touch of color and I like having the red stitching on the shift boot and steering wheel.
