F56 Colors

Just went by the dealership to check out all the colors and the Thunder Grey Metallic that I ordered. It seemed darker than I thought. When I mentioned this to my sales guy he said that they had received a lot of 'push back" on the colors. People complaining that they were way darker than the samples showed. He also said that they parked a TGM GP next to the new F56 and it was lighter and bluer in color.
I quite like the color but now wish that I had gone with the Satellite Grey colored interior - looks incredible with the Grey
The blue is dark too...but beautiful.
They did not have Green or Red surprisingly enough.
No wonder they did the test drives for the press in Puerto Rico! All that sun

I'd love to see Thunder Grey next to Dark Silver.

I saw the Thunder Gray Metallic at my dealership today. It's actually a nice color. It bit lighter than I expected. The metallic isn't as heavy as I'd like, but the color overall with the black roof/mirrors is nice. I got to see the blue on a MCS and it was gorgeous. Had I see the color in person when I put my order in, it would have been a tough choice between Deep Blue and British Racing Green II.

Are those the 19" Crusher wheels off of JCW Countryman and Paceman?

I think those wheels are actually JCW 18" Jet Black Cross Spokes. $3299 (with performance run flats) on the MiniUSA site ....

I think those look nice, showed them to my wife and she said "Why would you want wheels that look like flowers?" Hahaha I'll never look at them the same again.

They look nice but can't be off a paceman or countryman because the Lug pattern is 5-112 not 5-120.

I found this Dutch dealer with a few highly spec'd cars in Black, Red, Pepper and Silver white if anyone is interested to see how they look.

They should just call that color "White." I'm not sure where the silver is. It's the color I ordered but the configurator sure made it look like a silver with white touches. I still haven't seen one in the flesh - in daylight, but that sure is looking more like white to me!!!

I think the brighter outside it may be, the more white it looks. I've seen the color in person a few times (Not on the F56) and it always struck me as silver.

Its a cool color though...its the one I picked after bouncing back between Deep Blue and Thunder Grey

I believe those are the Double Stripe Carbon Black cloth seats. Only available in the US as part of the JCW Interior Package. I want cloth seats, so this is probably the best way to go, since it also includes the anthracite headliner, JCW steering wheel, and JCW door sills for $600.

Kinetic,

I'm glad to hear you say that. I really like silver and I was starting to think I might be disappointed that the color was too white. We're heading down to the dealership this weekend to check out the F56's they have in stock, so hopefully they'll have one in the Silver White to gander at in person.

No prob!

I'd also find one of the pic threads for white silver for the R Generation of MINIs, to get a better feel of what it looks like under different lighting conditions.

That is a nice step-up package. It's a shame the complete JCW package, complete with engine & suspension mods, and exterior mods isn't available.

I must've been configuring a Cooper, not an S, which is why the configurator added $600. Probably costs more on the Cooper due to Sports Seats not coming standard. Odd then that the Sports Package and JCW Interior Package would both include Sports Seats for the Cooper. Thus, ordering both would be less of a "deal".
