F55/F56 Parked Car Ventalation
I'm curious to know if it simply opens vents up to allow for air flow or does it actually run a fan to force air flow. I get the impression it simply opens the vents up.
Being in Florida, I would also be curious about how this would impact the level of humidity within the cabin. If it is a really muggy day outside this system may allow that moisture into the car.

Hmmm, I didn't see that. But you're right, it's in my Owners Manual. Very neat option, especially when you're out shopping or dining and you don't want to return to a baking hot interior. I'll have to play around with this.
Yea let us know how it works.
I don't see any warnings about enclosed spaces.....
Hmm....makes me wonder if this "feature" is available but not active unless equipped...
Can you think of the lawsuit....
Park it in a garage...set the timer....kill the family in the house while the car warms up/cools down.......
Some cars sold in extreme climates have very options that mat be shown in the book, but not sold in the us....some cars had combustion heaters that burnt gasoline to make heat (some Volvo's) that were available in some places.....
Looks like from rereading it is a vent fan only....kinda like a secure way of cracking a window a bit on a hot day....hm...interesting...

Yeah, it probably turns on the vent fan at a low flow rate - similar to when the car is auto-stopped at a light. Sounds like a pretty neat feature..

I live in a hot climate and never had a problem with opening the window and turning on the a/c. Seems like only a minute of so and everything is good. Plus I don't have to wonder if I'm running down my battery.
