Getting my mini today. taking requests for video review
After I get my mini later today, I will be doing a video review. I know that there are limited/crappy videos out there for us to look at and was wondering if there is anything in particular you all might want to see in detail.
My setup is as follows:
2014 Mini cooper S
Pepper white with black bonet stripes.
Fully loaded package
Cold weather package
17 in black cosmos wheels
black leatherette seats
mini your way with off white
auto with paddle shifters
Head up display
Cant remember what else lol
I will cover in detail everything I can think of, but please let me know if there are any specific nooks and crannies that need special attention. expect the video later tonight.

I can't think of anything in particular I haven't seen yet in person. (My dealer probably thinks I've lost my mind, as many times as I've been back up to inspect their demos) But, I'm looking forward to drooling over your video.
I've heard this MINI Connected XL will read your text messages. Requesting this to be in the video :-)

The boot storage-- there's either an accessory that allows for the folded down rear seats and the accessory to be a completely flat loading surface, OR that is just how they made the boot now. I think its an additional accessory (a $250 dollar option), but so far all the information has been pretty unclear. If you got that option (or not), it would be helpful to see a little about it. I heard that you can raise or lower that platform to be even with seat backs or lowered.
I'm also really interested in the moonroof screens: how much light is coming through on a sunny day when they're closed, since they are still mesh. I'm light sensitive and a migraine sufferer-- the last model's sunroof was not an option for me. I want sun when I want it, but when I don't, I REALLY don't.
Any of the Parking assist, rear camera, parking distance stuff, if you got them. I just think it would be neat to see some more about them. Oh, and the LED turning lights! I have no idea if there's a way to capture them in action, but that would be neat to see, too. These ones are all low priority for me, so no biggie if it's too complicated to get video of that stuff.
I can't believe I have to ask these, but the closest dealer is about 3 hours away, one way. I haven't been able to get there yet. Plus when I do, no idea if the models on the lot will be equipped with the features I'm curious about. I won't be there late at night, so no way to test those cool cornering lights either. Sucks to not have a dealer in the *major* city where I live!

exactly what I was expecting....the only word to describe the car is FUN. having owned a Porsche prior to this, I cant call it a sports car. I can call it a sporty car though. But everything about the car is fun.
ok about 45 minutes and then I can upload the video to youtube, so I would say about 1 more hour until professional quality review from yours truly..lol...well maybe not professional grade. but it is 22 minutes of mini goodness

I don't have my car yet, but sitting in the dealer's demo again today, I would say you may have a problem with the mesh/screens on the sunroofs. If you are very light sensitive, you could have a problem. You should sit in an F56 in bright sunlight and see if it will work for you or not.

Sounds great, glad to hear it.
ok, if you are waiting for my video....youtube says its going to take Hours to upload. it is 3gb...maybe doing it in HD was a bad idea lol. As soon as its up, I will post link in a new thread....so don't look here for the link....
Awesome, thanks for the heads up Steve. Too bad it isn't going up on one of the "Ad's" servers, it would upload and be available in two seconds >.<

90% of the time light isn't a problem, but on those days when I have an aura or migraine I don't want my car to be a pain, literally. My current car is like a dark little cave until I open the sunroof and windows.
any idea when video will be uploaded?
