What features are you getting?

Just curious as to what options are the most popular for the new buyers out there? Any "must haves"

i myself am getting the sport package as well as the premium package. everything else seems either too much cost or not exactly a necessity.

anyone else?

My wife said they are mandatory. Below zero temps you will think they are worth it.

Nice car- I must admit, I think the chrome package improves the look of the front of the car. I wasnt sure at first, but after playing with the configurator, I think its the way I would go as well.

We actually placed the order this afternoon.
The only change we made was going with the matching "Black-Mirror-Caps".

Tigerhonaker. Interesting the DDC. I've read that the sport suspension is better handling do you think that the DDC can be modded to go to full sport?

We, (Wife & I) discussed it and after flipping from the Chrome to the Black over and over and over ............

We both agreed the Black just blended in better with the roof and stripes in Black.

We did keep the, "Chrome Line Exterior" as are thinking was it would add some Sporty Flair and add to the overall appearance.

Of course all these things are just personal choice but the above was what we decided on.

Here is an (Honest-Reply).

Yes I did get a Discount as I worked with the G/M, (General Manager) at a different dealership once upon a time.

Sorry, I cannot Post that Discount.

Gregory ...

The DDC, (Dynamic Damper Control) as I understand it is more for a (Street-Driven Application).

The (Sport-Suspension) being much more Stiff is for a person (Racing) their MCS which we will not be doing.

I will add this regarding this New 2014 MCS, it is going to have a much better ride quality than the previous cars.

Add to that the, (Dynamic Damper Control) and I think the ride will be really A-OK on the street.

For our use we don't really want the Super Hard, Feel Every Bump, Buck-Board Ride.

I think this New completely redone MCS is going to actually be, Leaps & Bounds pass the older Models.

In this case I'm of the opinion we will get what we are actually paying for this go around.

Looks like a pretty loaded F56 is running about $36,000 USD. Is that about what you people are spending? The base car is around $24k and the packages/options another $12k. I see the options costing more on the F56. They're pretty tricky the way they package them, like you have to get the NAV to get the HUD, stuff like that. BMW knows how to get the money out of you with options better than most. $36k is getting into serious JCW price territory.

You know how it is TheBigNewt....once you have had one or two Mini's you live in regret for not getting that option for $750 that costs you $4k later. We who have ordered will all feel that way when the JCW Aero kits come out as an option...right?
This is really smart marketing on so many levels...but at least we won't have regrets for 6months! I can smell the leather already...

How true it is. I was building one and noticed the AT is $1250 like before but NOW the paddle shifters are like $500 more, last year they were included. At least the no-fob-in-the-slot feature is standard. But if you want the rubber button on the door handles that's $250. And you think leather seats are cheaper in the Coupe or the Roadster (no back seats)? NO!

Here's another way to look at the pricing. Mine, by the way, is a tick over $33K after discounts. The new F56 is new from the ground up. As nice as earlier MINIs are, this new one is better across the board. I commend MINI for putting together an awesome new hardtop. From everything I've read it is an awesome vehicle. Can't wait to get mine. IMO they could have easily justified a modest base increase but they chose not to. If some of the packages have been juggled to entice buyers to select extra cost options. When I consider all that I'm getting with my new MINI S, I consider it a good deal. That aside, clever pricing of packages/options is nothing new. All the manufacturers do this by varying degrees.

It will be interesting to hear from new F-56 owners as far as whether or not they perceive great or decent value in what they have received from MINI.

I know my wife is very excited about us ordering this completely new 2014 MCS.

It is as we all have taken due note of expensive with options.

What I like is at least BMW/Mini has those options available for us.

A "Major" option for us are the New LED Headlights with Cornering lights.

Plus the New LED Fog Lights.

Costly, ???, Yes, but finally a person driving a Mini can have the very latest high-tech , state-of-the-art lighting on the market.

I just think there is no way a person can possibly be "Disappointed" with this completely new BMW/Mini product.

Especially if the buyer can afford to order it exactly as they want it.

There is nothing that I have seen that I don't like about this new Mini.

As far as front & rear designs some of that IMHO is due to Federal Mandated Safety.

So that being understood I think BMW/Mini designers have done an outstanding job with this New 2014.
