I have a 2018 pre-LCI MCS. A few months ago I bought a OEM set of UJ tail lights from another owner and was able to successfully code them to my car using Bimmercode. Just recently, I took my car to the dealer since I upgraded my front calipers to the 4-piston Brembo's. The dealer ran into a little trouble and had to upgrade the car's software a couple of versions. Afterward, the signals and brake lights no longer illuminate on my UJ tail lights. I've tried to code them again using Bimmercode, but was unsuccessful. Dealer is saying I now need a new wiring harness, but that makes no sense to me since no hardware has changed only software version. Has anyone run into this before and can offer some tips or maybe have some advanced coding skills and can get them working properly again?

 

Wow, it's amazing what prayer can do. I've been working on this for over a couple of weeks with no success and no one has run into this problem it seems since there was no response, but God still hears and answers prayers! Even small things like this. So, before I even started on this, I prayed to God to find the right answer on how to fix my UJ tails. Afterward, my first thought was to search Google with a different keyword that I had not thought of before. I did that and ran across the embedded pic. You have to swap pin 1 and 6 if you have a pre-LCI F56 that has the latest software update. So, I will leave this here in hopes it can save someone else a headache in the future.
