Sunroof Won't Open

I guess I'll be dropping my 2015 cooper S off at the dealer this week. My sunroof suddenly stopped working yesterday. Luckily it stopped working in the closed position.

Before I take it to the dealer, I would like to check the fuse. I found the fuse panel behind the glove box, but I can't find a mapping of fuses to the accessories that they belong to. Does anyone know where I can find the fuse diagram?

Thanks in advance!

Mine did that once. The dealer performed a reset by holding the switch closed for 30 seconds and then open for 30 seconds (if i remember right).

The should be a fuse map in the fuse box with icons that you can't interpret.

There is a photo of it, let me see...

hammerhands, thank you for the links. I did end up finding these with the search, but as you said the icons will take a little getting use to. The links should be stickied.

Often when you have a MINI with a black roof and leave it in the hot sun, the roof won't open. Is this the case here?

Thanks guys. I had the same problem today and this worked for me as well.
I held the switch in the "closed" position as suggested and "voila!"
When I hit the "open" position it was fixed!

Thanks,
Kevin

I've now had two MINIs with black roofs and this has never happened to me with either car (and I live in South Florida, where it gets very hot).

How about the dang thing won't close? It opened fine today but when I went to close it, it stopped just this much () short of closing. The rear pane is open and the front as it would be for venting. The motor seems fine and I can't see anything restricting its movement. I took it to a friend mech and he hooked up his computer (BMW) to it. We reset it and it still won't close. It seems like something is resisting at the last second. I tried to wipe out the tracks as best as I could and sprayed some WD-40 on them. All to no avail. The closest dealer is 100 miles away in Charleston! It's a 2007 Cooper S with the JCW package. Oh, and it's for sale at $6900.

Did you hold it for 30 secs? That will start the reinitialization

I tried that several times, both at opening and closing. So I'm not sure what worked. I closed it last night as far as it would go, basically the vent position. Left it alone til this morning, went out, started it and pushed the switch to close. It closed! Wouldn't do that last night. 😳
