2020 F54 JCW Clubman Suspension
Hello all. I recently purchased a new to me 2020 F54 JCW Clubman launch Edition. I'm planning to purchase the Eibach lowering springs and larger rear sway bar as I'd like to get rid of some of the factory fender gap and get it to sit a little lower and handle a little better. My car has the adaptive dampers (DDC).
My question is for those that have done this same mod. When you lowered the car on the lowering springs, did the car have enough ability to adjust the camber already built in, or did you purchase lower rear control arms to get the camber adjusted properly in the rear? I'm trying to determine if the lower rear control arms are necessary, or if I can get away with the ability to adjust as is. I've no problem purchasing the control arms and installing, just wanted to see if it was ultimately necessary. My goal is to get the car to a factory camber setting at the new lowered ride height. The Eibach springs state that they give 1.2" front and 1" rear lowering to the ride height.
Also, at the new lowered ride height, was there any need to cut the bump stops?
I'm new to the 3rd Gen cars as my other MINI is a heavily modified R56 Cooper S with coil-overs, sway bar and lower rear control arms among the many suspension mods. Getting the ride dialed in is one of my favorite things to do with these cars. Really wanting to dial in the potential on this F54 as well! Any insight is greatly appreciated!

Didn't JCW come with electronic suspension?
My F54 has adjustable suspension and after consulting with Mini gurus, I was advised against doing ghetto drops.
The adjustable suspension can be changed to a non adjustable - then one can do whatever one wants.

DDC was an available option even on the JCW models, and there are lowering springs specifically designed for cars equipped with DDC. There’s really no difference in the installation compared to any other vehicle—just choose whatever fits your budget and goals.Alternatively, you can switch to coilovers and run a DDC cancellation kit, such as the one from KW. The car will still function without the cancellation kit, but you’ll have a persistent error message on the dash.
