Lowering F56 effect of rear camber?

I've been looking at a few images of Mini F56 that have been lowered on springs or coilovers and noticed that some (not all) seem to have significant negative camber on the rear wheels (especially compared to front) which I suspect must cause uneven tyre wear as it is very noticable...

There are also some images I've seen where the negative camber doesn't look so bad (no mention of fitting rear adjustable control arms). I assume the amount of lowering on the rear which have more or less impact on this i.e. more lowering=more negative camber...

My question is if there is any sort of adjustment that can be done to the rear camber without purchasing the adjustable rear control arms?

I plan to lower my car (coilovers) and will probably not lower it too much (20-25mm) as I'm not looking to get the slammed look but wondered with modest lowering I can get away with not having the additional outlay of adjustable rear control arms.

There's no need for adjustable lower control arms if you stick within your coilover suggested lowering heights. You'll be ok with springs as well.

When I had my NM springs installed I went ahead and installed NM lower control arms too. I thought I would need them, but after two different alignment jobs the adjustable control arms haven't need to be adjusted. I'll re-assess after I put a few thousand more miles on the tires.

Great info BadakVT and thanks for the link from your original post....

It may seem that some of the images of lowered cars I have seen perhaps did not get alignment done and adjusted after as I noticed your rears were near -2.4 degress post fitting before adjusted to around -1.4

Thanks

Camber can be adjusted in the rear on the stock control arms. I don't exactly how much but you can offset quite a bit of the natural camber from lowering if you like.

Some negative camber is a good thing for handling though.

I did notice that you had the NM control arms fitted and your rears looked fine (compared to some others) from the pics i've seen of your car.. Thanks

Thanks... Yes I would like some negative camber on the rear but not to the extent where it is considerably different to the front (more a cosmetic choice) where I'm not planning camber plates.

Negative 1.5 is a good number to start on the rear for street driven car. Mine are wearing evenly and I rotate them every year.
