Maxton or 3D design roof spoiler

Does anyone have a 3D design or Maxton roof spoiler for clubman? There is a huge price difference between the 2, but apart from giomic (not subtle), that’s the only game in town. The carbon 3D design looks really nice but a tough pill to swallow. I’m curious if someone can speak to the part fitment and if they have any images to share. I’ve only seen the corporate marketing pictures which only reveals what they want you to see.

Between those two, I would go with the Maxton spoiler, mostly because of the cost. They look similar enough that I wouldn’t be able to justify the 100x cost difference for the 3D Design version.

Can’t disagree with that. I’m not in dire need of either but thought it might be a nice touch. I find with parts like this the fitment is critical, and often you get what you pay for. I can imagine that 3D doesn’t make a ton of these and the development/mold cost gets amortized over very few pieces.

The 3D Carbon spoiler is full carbon, where the Maxton is molded ABS. That's probably where most of the cost difference is found. In my opinion, unless you're going full carbon front splitter and wheel arches, the 3D Carbon will look out of place.

One hopes it’s autoclave and not OOA for that price. I have a carbon hood scoop, that’s it. I was hoping to see an picture of the maxton installed before I’d buy it based on the online pictures. The way it aligned with the side of the roof spoiler is not an indication that it was well thought out. It could certainly follow the body line to look more seamlessly integrated. I also don’t have the JCW body kit so apart from duell and giomic that are very comprehensive, there isn’t a lot of add ons. Its unfortunate the Schnitzer splitter for the F54 wasn’t developed, they have one for the justa Cooper.

I was able comparing those 2 brands for rear diffusers for the F54. The Maxton pieces still feel overpriced to me, especially considering that the rear diffuser only is a middle piece versus the whole width of the bumper.

I think with the current shipping issues due to COVID-19, might just have to wait and be patient.

Or maybe try are buy it direct?

Maxton has been backed up from Covid 19 and demand. They were stopped then started back up. We have more and more landing daily. We are the largest holder of Maxton in North America. Some of the newer stuff like the F54 has taken some time to come in as VW demand is pushing them to make more VW parts at this time.
