Which pads do you like?
please avoid the ECS brake lines as my bmw came leaking from new. Go with Goodrige.
I consider Stainless steel brake lines a safety measure. Really cheap vs crashing the car. The normal rubber lines will expand giving you en springs feeling while still braking and suddenly you have no brakes are all. With stainless lines, there aren’t any expansion having no sponge feeling. You will notice the pedal firm and kick in you back when you’re running are out brakes.
with that said, rubber lines have been in place for decades from factory with no major issues. You can wait until your next brake job but I would highly recommend it to anyone.

Had the ECS brake lines on all three of my MINIs and no problems. Had them for years.

I've run the EBC Ultimax for years on other cars, but am thinking of going to the green stuff. Strickly for agressive street driving, no plans for track. Why the red vs green? Track car?
I went with the Goodridge stainless steel brake lines. Will post an update when they are on. Plan to pair them with the EBC red stuff pads. Now I just need to figure out the rotors...

I've run SS lines on all my cars, I didn't notice better feel on my R53 or my Jeep but the stock brakes on the R53 were pretty good and the Jeep brakes are so bad there is probably no fixing the feel. I was debating them when I do a full brake job on the F54. I also run EBC, great pads!
Why the zimmerman when the Brembo cost about the same? See my other thread from today on replacement rotors.
