I've just been contacted by a service advisor at my local dealership, who indicates that my '17 F54 S All4 falls within a recall for a "left-side" control module that "tends to short under load and leads to rough idle, etc." The SA identified the open campaign as 0063520100, and the service bulletin number as M63 01 18. I can press for details, but in the meantime I've searched for info using those numbers myself and come up with nothing, so I'm curious whether anyone else dealt with this?

I've had no issues with the vehicle, and dropping my VIN info into the MINI recall page doesn't produce any results (yet, anyway).

I was just chatting with my SA a week or so ago and he didn't mention anything. They did finally get the brake light recall they did last November to finally register to my VIN so I stop getting notifications to get it done. I do get an occasional rough idle, but nothing consistent...wonder if this control module has anything to do with it?? Need an oil service very soon, so will ask them about this one when I go in.

 

Thanks, I'd be most interested to hear if you should find out anything on your next visit. My SA didn't seem to radiate any particular urgency about it. Hopefully I'll be able to get out to the dealership for the module-swap in the next few weeks.
