I need tutoring...

New to me this week... Thunder Grey Metallic '16 Clubman S All4 with sport, technology and wired packages and heated seats with power/heated mirrors riding 18"s... Mini Yours Burgundy, Comfort access, Harman-Kardon yada yada yada... 13, 000 miles while driving it home and ran by the dealership and they report it's in spectacular condition. Seller transferred extended warranty so covered for another 4 years up to 100K. Build sheet says $37K (May 2016) and I paid a little more than 1/2 of that.

'16 Clubman S All4 thunder grey metallic with many of the packages?

I need tutoring or perhaps mentoring is a better word choice? I have so many questions and have done a lot of searches but still need a Clubman Yoda who can answer questions or at least have a conversation with me...

1. ease and cost of lowering this 1.5 inches or so?
2. wrapping, plasti-dipping all of the chrome?
3. are you able to set green as your default driving mode instead of sport?
4. Hot here so 35 psi cold quickly becomes 40... thoughts?

Thanks in advance.

Congratulations on scoring a great deal on a great Clubman S All4!! Nice. Good equipment list.

Default driving mode is mid. Green or Sport are selected, must be re-selected each time the car is re-started. Coding the default to other than mid is possible.

Some lowering kits are becoming available. Here's a start: https://www.northamericanmotoring.co...rket-love.html

Tire pressure does fluctuate a bit. Nitrogen fill adds a little pressure stability.

FWIW, one of the tuning options gives the most performance bang for your buck. A Dinan Sport or NM box or a full ECU tune or Dinan Elite or JB. Or Racechip. Range of opinions on all of these. I've been more than pleased with my Dinan Sport.

The other change that made a noticable difference for me in ride quality and overall handling was dumping the run flats.

Best thing to do is drive the car for awhile and get to know it, then decide what to mod, or not mod.

Lots of good info in the JCW Garage and Modification sections of the 3rd gen forums.

Enjoy your new toy.

Well you've already helped me to figure out that I have the Fully Loaded package as well... but you have your windows folding up and down depending on the ignition so I definitely need to find that DIY modification !! Cheers and thanks for the great advice !!

Lots of coding info floating around. I went with Carly because it's easy, though limited compared to other coding formats. But there is a world of stuff loaded into these cars that can be unlocked, as many better than I have done.

I did the global closing/mirror folding and a few other minor tweaks -- but there is so much more.

Again my sincere thanks.
