FYI: I started a thread in FAQ for bimmercode app codings. Check it out. If you have a tested coding parameter and it's not listed feel free to add it. As I see new postings I'll try to keep the list updated. I think it'll be easier to have this info in one place rather than spread across multiple threads/forums. Any suggestions for improvements let me know.
How long does it take to code once you've changed four or five settings? I saw the warning about not interrupting the coding sequence and didn't want to take the chance of not being able to finish. I only had about five minutes.
Thanks for the seat heating codes! (embarrasedly) I don't suppose there's anybody in the Chicagoland area who has this app and connector, and wants a visit from me? (/embarrasedly)
If still in need of this I have Carly and can do it for you
I ran into a snag. I selected a few changed and then coded. One change didn't take. It's the option to unlock the doors when the engine is turned off. When I first got this Mini I paid to have coding done, and this feature worked until I took the car in for its first service visit. I've tried just selecting that one feature and the Code button did not light up to process the change. Any thoughts?
Additional issue: One of the things I changed was changing the turn signal from three flashes to five. According to the app the change was made. When I used the turn signal it still only flashed three times.
I was told by the people at bimmercode that the last Mini software update made that shortcut inoperable. I don't know if anyone has come up with a workaround using expert mode yet. Bimmercode update is due in the next week, or so rumor has it. Maybe they will address this in the update.

Which is inoperable, the lock or the turn signal? The lock is one of the primary reasons I want to code. I find it ridiculous that I have to remember to hit the unlock button before I get out of the car. Otherwise when I go to lock it I need to hit the Comfort Access button a few times before the car locks.

I’m confused. Doesn’t your door unlock when you pull the interior door handle? I don’t have “unlock when turning off car”
i just pull pull the door handle to get out. Then push comfort access button once to lock.

The way my car works - I open the handle to unlock and open my door. The passenger door doesn't unlock. I get out and hit the button on the door handle. The passenger door unlocks. I push it again to lock everything. Sometime one push doesn't unlock the passenger door. Sometimes one push doesn't lock everything. I average about three button pushes to lock the car. My workaround - I turn off the ignition and hit the unlock button on the inside of the car door. That way when I get out, one push on the handle button locks the car. It's annoying. That's why I loved it when it was coded to unlock the doors when turning off the engine.
I can live without the turn signal blinking five times. I really want to door to unlock when I turn off the engine.

try changing the door key button settings to unlock all doors in the settings menu of your mini. This should allow you to lock the car with comfort access button with one push.

Tried that - it didn't work.
I've noticed that none of the items I changed are actually working. The app says they have been altered but they have not.

I found this too, until i coded one item at a time, then it was more successful. Now an interesting thing, with the carly app, obce coded you have to switch the ignition off/on again to activate it, i wonder if this is the same?
With your turn signals, you can change this is the mini menu without using bimmercode, same with the door locks. Check that out.
The latest update to BimmerCode finally makes this a killer app. I have a 2018 Clubman S and a lot of the functions weren’t previously available. Today I was finally able to disable the disclaimer screen and even better I was able to get the JCW tach to display in the heads up display.
You have to go in to expert mode in both the HUD and KOMBI ECUs and enable the following:
HUD, set HUD_SPORTANZEIGE_ENABLE, HUD_SPORTANZEIGE_FES_ENABLE, and HUD_SPORTANZEIGE_MS_GASSE_ENABLE to AKTIV.
So it’s six things you need to activate. Once you’re done, go in to your settings for the HUD and you’ll see new options for sports display.

Thanks! I'm in Aurora, so you would be quite close. I'll look back at this thread if I need it done, but last time I was at the dealer's I asked for the seat heater to be hotter. They replied that they could NOT do so, because it was within tolerance. However, it feels hotter to me! So I think maybe they did something accidentally.
I also bought the plug, and downloaded the Bimmercode app, though I haven't yet paid for the ability to make code changes. I'm waiting for the dead of winter to see if it is hot enough.

Ive noticed that my seats get very hot now, and have to turn them down or off after only 5 mins os usage. Im sure they were never that hot before a software update was carried out.

I'm sorry that this didn't work for. It's bazaar that I can lock the car from the door handle with one push and you cannot. You've changed the door key button settings, using your iDrive controller to get to the settings menu, to unlock all doors with one press and it still didn't work? Strange!

I understand that this thread is in a Clubman Forum but I just have a regular Mini Cooper 2015. I don't have iDrive. Does anyone know the setting in expert mode that would achieve this?
