We dont have a switch on the Canadian models. My passenger mirrors do dip when reverse. There's no cold weather package option in Canada but there's heated seats and manual said mirrors are heated automatically.
So you are saying I need the button on my door to have folding mirrors on my fob?
No fold switch, no power fold.
Dip is a function of power mirror adjustment.
Ok that sucks... Canadians always get ripped off. Don't know why x1 and other cars have that feature but mini don't. Oh well at least I have the windows and sunroof open/ close. Thanks everyone. Sorry for the trouble

Don't feel bad, I don't have power mirrors either!!
It would be nice to have the mirrors close and open when locking/unlocking the car, without having to hold the button on the keyfob. At present i can only see the option using comfort access but even then im not sure if its working properly.

It is my understanding that UK spec cars have the folding feature. If not, it can be easily coded so the mirrors fold when you lock the car using the comfort button on the door handle or the fob. The timing of the fold/unfold function is adjustable through coding as well so they can fold instantly upon lock or there can be a delay requiring holding the door button or the fob button an instant longer after locking.
Thanks for the seat heating codes! (embarrasedly) I don't suppose there's anybody in the Chicagoland area who has this app and connector, and wants a visit from me? (/embarrasedly)
Looks like seat heater shortcuts were added in the last update.
Should be easy now.
It's under$50 for Bimmercode, and the wifi adapter.
Its only visual difference, so you get the tiered style menus, which I guess is more convenient since you can see more information all at once. But mostly, I wanted it because I wanted to be able to see album art, album name, and track title all at the same time while playing music. Plus it was just a project I wanted to do.
If you're trying to compile a cheat sheet for random stuff, one thing i haven't seen posted (or maybe it has been and i haven't seen it):
JOHN_COOPER_WORKS_HMI = aktiv
this will activate the JCW Center Instrument lighting option
The throttle/brake illumination on the ring?
I also have the tach lighting on the ring. White to orange, then red.
Maybe since I have the JCW interior package?

Maybe you’re right that the JCW interior has it. Mine didn’t have it and I don’t have the JCW interior. Not that I use the JCW central instrument setting; it’s not even noticeable in normal driving conditions.
How long does it take to code once you've changed four or five settings? I saw the warning about not interrupting the coding sequence and didn't want to take the chance of not being able to finish. I only had about five minutes.
If you only have about five minutes to mess with it, I would suggest waiting until you have some more time on your hands. While this is a simple procedure, if you rush it, especially in the expert mode, you could really muddle things up.

That's what I figured. How much time should I allow myself?
Depends on how much you're gonna do and whether you'll be using expert mode. Shouldn't take long. I think a spent ~20 minutes fiddling around with mine. I was using shortcuts and expert and learning to use the app at the same time.
