OMG... Nederlanders!!
OK, fellas, I need ya'll's input. I got bit the first time I took Maggie in for the 10k oil change because I paid the Nederlander BMW service department for their oil. Not real smart, now I know. She's due the next service but also the brake wear indicator came on and I noticed the treads were low on her kicks. So, I asked the dealership how much doing all this would cost. Customer service is SO good in Nederlands that I had to fight them to give me the costs for the parts. Now, it gets better and better!! The brakes were 125 fronts, 62 rears plus 11.50 euros for each of the front and rear wear sensors. But wait, there's MORE!!! They want to charge 305 euros PER tire for the stock Goodyear RFs!!! Of course, they refused my offer to install the BMW parts that I would provide.
Now, my friends, the question is can ya'll in Germany provide parts (besides oil) to the BMW dealership to install? I've called my dealership in the States to see if MiniUSA will take over the warranty once I get back. If so, I'll have to bite the bullet and pay the Nederlanerers for the brake job, oil change. Otherwise, I'll invest in the right tools and do it myself. Oh yeah, I'll be da---d if I pay $412.31 per tire!! There's a local shop that'll mount and balance for ~20 euro per. Sorry for the rant but I'm hoping that there is some sanity in Europe.
Cheers!!

It varies from dealer to dealer here. The ones that are close to military installations will work with us a bit more. The dealer here is Pressath (near Graf) is really cool and will let us do this. Besides, the dealer really makes their money on labor anyway.
DYI is the better route to go if you are good with tools.
