add a circuit

Checked this thread for ideas on getting power to some aux lighting that I plan to add which will need power even when the ignition is off. Saw several mentions of "add a circuit" with the implication that it is a hardware mod. Sounds like just the ticket. If that is indeed what it is, where do I obtain one and where should I go for the power I need? Thanks in advance.

It adds a power tap to a fuse slot. Here is where I purchased mine: http://www.partsexpress.com/pe/showd...number=071-580. You'll need to find a fuse slot that has always-on power. I'd imagine that would be true for the alarm system (F24), but perhaps someone else could make a recommendation.

I found them at Pep Boys. Other stores might have them as well.

You can also get them at autozone as well.

See my separate post about the Ground tap kit... I put one in the battery jumper box under the hood, works well. -rc

I have details and instructions on how to tap your fuse with the add-a-circuit on my site:

the add-a-circuit has a limit of 10, I am not sure what the power requirements are for your lights but be aware of the limitations
