Electrical PIAA Extreme White Halogen Bulbs
PIAA Extreme White Halogen Bulbs
Hi
I want to replace the highs (H7), fogs (H11) and Driving (H3) lights with the 55w PIAA Extreme Whites
Has anyone does this? If so, are they physically hotter and more likely to melt parts (not worried about wiring since its still 55 watts)? What has been the lifetime before burnout?
I do not want 100 watt bulbs for all kinds of reasons.

unless you go with something along 10000k xenon bulbs, you are not likely to melt stock wires

mine hasnt burn the reflectors yet
just curious.. in the states isn't there no day time running lights? so the chance of you using those halogens would only be during high beam situations.. right?
i have 6000k xenons and 4k halogens, no overheating ever... not even in dreaded 30 celcius degrees at 100% humidity...

The PIAA bulbs are crap. Don't do it. If you want brighter lights, go to http://www.danielsternlighting.com/ and buy his H-7 65-watters, for a 75% increase in brightness at half the price of PIAA's.
While you are there, do some reading, and understand why...

These are really good too for your Fog lights and front markers. I have been using those for almost a year with no issues.
PM if interested.

Because that's the light I want to make bright white if possible.
Chows4us, I was also thinking about upgrading all the non-Xenon lamps to PIAA Xtreme Whites as you original thought and I was curious how happy you were after upgrading to the Phillips Vision Plus or if you wish you had gone with the PIAA. Did the Phillips make a noticeable difference in brightness, depth or power, or color temperature compared to the OEM halogens? (And were the Phillips 55w to match the OEMs?)
