Electrical NCS Expert v4.0.1
NCS Expert v4.0.1
Hi guys.
I have been trying to reprogram a replacement ECU for a MINI R60 COUNTRYMAN (R056-14-07-500/DEV CODE: R60).
My questions are:
1. Does it sound like I have managed to code the ECU?
2. Are there any files I can provide to prove it, (I have not amended any files from the appropriate directories)
3. What else can I and should I check when I next connect into the vehicle?
Any advice, previous experience from you experts and insights will be hugely appreciated - happy to also pay someone who knows what to look for!
All the best,
David
I have been trying to reprogram a replacement ECU for a MINI R60 COUNTRYMAN (R056-14-07-500/DEV CODE: R60).
- I have the correct K+DCAN cable, with the switch in the correct position.
- INPA reported connections to the engine successful
- The Chassis & VIN FA/FG were read successfully by NCS by following the steps documented in the next bullet point
- I followed a PDF named: NCS_DIY.pdf - which was successful at all stages, without any major errors, (see attached to the post) with TWO caveats:
- Step 67, there was no "BC_DIGITAL_V" in my FSW_PSW.MAN
- In Step 77, the "SG_CODIEREN" did not return a positive result and failed to write the code
- I selected the F2 job again and instead chose: "SG_CODIEREN_OHNE_FG"
- On execution, the code then wrote successfully. (Confirmed in the main window with "Job Ended")
- Moving on Step 81, I could not really understand what was being said and I did see what it was relating to.
My questions are:
1. Does it sound like I have managed to code the ECU?
2. Are there any files I can provide to prove it, (I have not amended any files from the appropriate directories)
3. What else can I and should I check when I next connect into the vehicle?
