Anyone have any idea what this code means? I can't find it on the list. ScanguageII is reporting it.

Something is draining my battery. Replaced battery and it is dead again in less than a month.

 

My R53, same thing. The batter actually went dead a few days ago, got a jump and its been running fine ever since except for the P1692 error code. I did some searching around and can't seem to find anything of substance.

A few folks talked about issues as drastic as a head gasket, but the thing is, the mini is still running like a champ. No service light, it just has this error code when I scan the obd2.

If anyone has any insight into the P1692 fault code I think we'd both appreciate it, thanks.

 

Just read another post that said the guy replaced the battery and it seemed to solve the issue. Its too bad that didin't work for you Zeusboy, but I might give it a go. I am particularly interested in putting a multimeter on the batter both on and off. Maybe when it got drained it knackered it.

I'll try starting with the simple and working my way up.
