First off new to the Forum. My first post. Unfortunately its not under the best of circumstances. Ive owned my 02 MCS for 2 years now. very low miles when i purchased it. Drives great, no problems. I decided to start mods so i installed CAI, headers, hi-flo cat, and cat-back just for starts. Two days after install i get the fault codes P1692 and P1229. I've done the research, i know what the codes mean, and there are many causes to the codes( from blown head gasket to bad sensor). the car still drives great no hesitation or idle problems. so any ideas on what it could be.

i havent done any mods to the ECU nor do i know if any were done before i bought the car.

 

Those codes lead "towards" the ETB or harness and other possilbilties, and since you have no driveability issues I suspect it may require a trip to the dealer.
