Mystery wire taps

So I popped the fuse cover and saw this wire tap festival. I'll dig into wire colors next but wanted to get some quick feedback. Leftover dealer BS? Thoughts? If I could find a wiring diagram with connector pinouts it would sure be easier.

That’s what I was thinking too. I wonder what it is/was for? It looks like 7 wires taped together loosely. 5 from taps visible and two that come in from about 1 or 2 o’clock.

Looks like wires from a new head unit radio? or Maybe some after market gauges?

Yeah. I’ll never know the original owners “stuff”. Today though, no gauges and HU is OG. If they are abandoned I hope they properly taped them off!!

I’ll pull the panels and chase. Any idea where I can get a connector wire pin out? It’s easy enough to see which wires are tapped, but how to know that they’re for?

UPDATE: found it. I'm guessing it was dealer installed alarm or some garbage. Has a 2007 sticker on it, so predates the car (2009). I also found this thread - same box https://priuschat.com/threads/anyone...e-dash.186636/ Yaay, I have another weekend project now.

Mapped a few taps to driver & passenger door lock, glove box light, CAS power. Looks like possibly a previous alarm?

Looks like a Karr Alarm, I've had to remove 2 from previous vehicles and I'll never purchase another vehicle if it's installed. Utter garbage that they try to charge extra for.
Here's a link for you...
