Back up Camera

I cannot get my backup camera to pair. I have a 2006 Mini S Convertible. I wired in at the back of the tail lights. I think it’s wired right but not 109 percent sure. If someone knows what wires I should wire into please help.

What do you mean by "pair"? Is it a wireless camera?

Sorry, can't help you much with wireless as mine is hard wired. All I know is some of the wireless cameras require constant power, meaning they need to be powered all the time the car is running as oppose to be powered only when in reverse. Anything in the camera's installation instructions about this?

I actually have mine set up like this - instead of powering camera from backup light circuit I have run dedicated power from the front of the car. Also, tapped switch wire into driver side backup light wire at the footwell module. So my screen automatically switches to the camera view when shifter is in reverse and I can switch to camera feed manually at any time disregarding of the current gear as my double din unit allows switching to camera manually.
