R53 HID lights to LEDs

Hey I've got a 2003 Cooper S with xenons and i'm looking for aftermarket headlight housings but there aren't any xenons so is there any way I can convert to LED or even to halogens? I'm pretty annoyed with the $800 xenon housings.

My opinion -

HID, yes.
LED's no.
Halogen...see HID

That's been my experience. But...it has been a coupla years since I did my last bulb swap. LED's have no doubt gotten better...
While the LED's are instant on and the HID's take a few seconds to come to full bright, the HID's are brighter than the LED's, if you stick with the 7200K to 8000K output (white output) bulbs.

Look around, the internet is your friend. Here's a decent bit of information - https://bestheadlightbulbs.com/hid-vs-led-headlights/

I already have the HIDs but I'm looking for new housings and there aren't any except for factory halogen cars so even though it would not be as bright, is there any way to convert my car to halogen?

Update: I figured out that I can get refresh headlights and put my old ballasts on them and plug in HIDs as long as theyre projectors, but is there any way that I can skip ballasts and HIDs and Install a LED H7 conversion kit for both highs and lows? Also to get rid of the washers, do you just empty the reservoir and unplug the fuse?

I did read through that one but I didn't see anything about LEDs only HIDs so I didn't know if LEDs work in projectors and if it'll hook up to a connector without the ballast

You get the projector headlights aftermarket that take the H7 bulb then you get the LED H7 retrofit kit we have and pull out the ballast and xenon kit off the old system.
