Do you have the switch and control box? I think the only slightly hard part of making this yourself will be the connector for the control box, and you could do that with the right Faston connectors and a bit of patience.
If it would help, I'd be willing to reverse-engineer mine & provide a circuit diagram; it's not particularly complex.
If you don't have the control box, you'll need a 15A bistable relay or some other tinkering. I actually built something very similar a while back to do high beam control on a Porsche 914 ( https://github.com/John-Titor/HighBeamRelay ) it was designed to retrofit into a specific 5-pin flasher enclosure (Hella 66507) so it would be socket-mountable, but you could easily hardwire it...
PCB layout for 'smart' high beam / headlight relay.

You can use our site as a guide for the wires:
https://www.ecstuning.com/b-genuine-...s/63120144133/
And these digrams, I could not find one directly for the rally aka additional fog lights

The switch is a momentary pushbutton and a couple of LEDs (one for illumination, one to tell you it's on). The control box is what makes it all go.
Here's the RealOEM page with all of the parts for the retrofit: https://www.realoem.com/bmw/enUS/sho...diagId=03_2143 - looks like the control box is still available new: https://www.ecstuning.com/Search/Sit...h/63120144135/ but the wiring harness is NLA. The connector would take some digging up...

The green/yellow wire that snakes across under the dash needs to be long enough to snake across under the dash to the BC in the right footwell; how long it needs to be will vary depending on how neatly you want to do it. On mine whoever did it wasn't very interested in a neat job, so it's on the short side. Depending on where yours was cut, you may also need more length to get to the lights, but that's pretty easy to measure on the car and wire is cheap, so make it a bit too long and then trim it to suit when you install...

Hi Guys.... I have a 2005 Mini Cooper S convertible. I bought a pair of aftermarket Fog Lights to replace the fake vents at the bottom of the front bumper cover / spoiler. The dealer here in Raleigh tells me there isn't a Fog Light harness available for lower lights in the bumper cover / spoiler.
I'm wondering if I can use this (# 6312 9144 133) harness with a new connector to match my fog lights... spliced in. I would also need a matching toggle switch, but the dealer tells me that's not available either.
I previously installed a smaller supercharger pulley, a larger harmonic balancer, hotter plugs and better wires. It's really fast now, but at night, my 62 year old eyes can't keep up.
Any help would be greatly appreciated...it's a really fun car !

Linked above and NLA on that wire, Do you have a used one?
You would be better off with the kit and then wire in your aftermarket housings.
Here is the kit.
https://www.northamericanmotoring.co...-2004-r53.html
Then you need the corresponding toggle bank for your year. https://www.ecstuning.com/Mini-2006-...or/Electronic/
Last time i looked we could get them.
