Or buy a led bulb with the resistor built in...pretty common...combined led/resistor should have the same ohm (resistance) as the bulb...I suggest you DO NOT CHOP UP YOUR WIRING...

I need a LED compatible flasher relay but can't I find one.
That doesn't apply to MINI's. MINI and many newer cars don't use flasher relays. The turn signals are directly connected to the computer, which blinks them using software. Many other cars (especially older) use a flasher relay to flash the turn signals, and in that case you can replace the relay with a version designed for LED.
