The conversion from Halogen to HID is either very expensive or requires some cutting with a dremel and time with your headlights apart (or sending it to a place to do this retrofit). There is not yet a simple swap from MINI, but there is one coming as it was announced a week or two ago.
You do not have a backup light out on the driver’s side. There is only one reverse light and it is on the passenger’s side.

HID fogs are a bad idea as too much foreground lighting will hurt your eyes ability to see far away at night.

Here is what you need.

Who mentioned fogs? I agree the H1 kit is the way to go form TRS, I did the D2S and it was a little more work to get it in there. Next time I will do the H1.

Burger Motor sports has a plug and play HID fog light kit. Several Color temps available. 10 minutes per side to install. No cutting, no messing around. they look and work great

You'll be waiting a while and it won't be cheap. Go with The Retrofit Source.

Not too much I think, check here: http://www.realoem.com/bmw/showparts...49&hg=63&fg=95.
You can see the part number for the silver and black version. Also if you put the part number on google, some websites from Europe have those for sale around €450, so probably they are coming to USA soon

That part seems to have been available since 2009. Why should they release it so late?

Because in the US they needed washers and auto leveling, up until recently.

Where you see that? I can only see: FROM 09/2009, that if I'm not wrong that means that it will fit models from that production date to today.

Also found this for JCW 2011: http://www.realoem.com/bmw/showparts...49&hg=63&fg=95
