Want to use driving lights on low beam???

Can ANYONE please give directions or way to convert driving lights to be able to use on hi and low beam?

I do not need a high moral lecture or any kind of policing fom anyone. Either you can answer or cannot answer question above. Pretty simple.

Just have the driving lights wired hot & to a separate switch on your dash. Turn them on & off anytime. I have a lighted toggle switch to let me know mine are on or off. If you align them properly you won't be blinding anyone. chuck

There is already a thread on this...kinda funny actually...
All you need to know how to do this is on the first page of the thread...
Do it wrong, and you will burn up your wiring harness, but if you know anything about releys, it is a non question....very simple.

I don't think it's possible to align a driving light to not blind anyone. That's why driving lights (and high beams) should be turned off when opposing traffic approaches.

Like you said, you think and you think wrong. There is a proper way to align driving lights. Also, never look directly into the headlights of an oncoming vehicle. Anyone remember that information in the driver's instruction manual!!

Yeah. I'm pretty sure it's right next to the section where you're required to turn off your high beams if you see approaching traffic.

Are you talking about the OEM driving lights? Look at the wiring diagram: http://www.motoringfile.com/howto/Dr...Lights_902.pdf (page 16). Cut the "High Beam Signal" and tie it to 12V.

But why do you want to do this? I hope only for situations where it is also safe to use high beams.

yep also I have rigged up a circuit to lower the driving light outputs by half, at will.

Roughly but not exactly the same idea: http://motoringfile.com/howto/Fog%20Lights.PDF (page 14)
Here you would modify the BRGN wire in the diagram that goes to the relay. The BCM controls this line directly, so you might want to rig up something to retain the operation of the toggle switch with a separate switch to manually override the signal on this wire.
