Electrical R53 NCS Expert Guide Add-In

An update. Everything WORKS! The video helped me understand the software thank you.
Despite MUCH searching and 99% of people saying remote windows UP does NOT work and is ILLEGAL in USA, it DOES! I found the code, I don't remember but it's in NCS Dummy, a parameter in German. It IS POSSIBLE. For all those out there that say it's not, works perfectly. In the hot Texas sun I was also able to disable the remote auto open of sunroof which is excellent. So I can role my windows up and down fully with remote. The auto up for passenger side thing does NOT work. And there was no parameter called "pinch" anywhere. BC1 versions / firmware versions maybe, this is common I read many places.
Thank you so much for all who helped, that would have taken a long time just to connect to the car. Now I need to code some things in my bmw 335d while I'm at it. It's nice using same tools for both cars!
I killed the wretch auto lock, that was my sole reason for doing all of this

Glad you got it working.
Isn't remote up just the comfort close option?
I like the auto lock, but my car is also coded to unlock when I take the key out of the ignition. I think the best change I ever made was to disable to the stupid clutch interlock. Being able to crank the car in neutral without having to step on the clutch is great. Second best was disabling the stupid seatbelt and key in the ignition bongs.

Haha yes but no one discusses this and everyone seems to think it isn't possible. It sure is! And there is no good info anywhere on what parameter except in NCS DUMMY
I can't even find the parameter for auto lock at 10mph, ugh. I will in DUMMY tho. They need a definitive list here somewhere

Victory! Auto locking dead forever. I can't believe I can't find info anywhere else about that except what you told me. Set all 4 of those params to not active and the auto locks are gone. So that and the other main parameter worked. Auto windows up in passenger didn't but everything else I wanted to do worked great . Now I can go onto the e90 to do similar things, thanks so much for all the help once again would be very hard without this forum

One additional small irritation is the sunroof - remote open I disabled the sunroof. I would have liked same behavior for key in door to open windows and (not open sunroof like the remote now does not) but it does also open the sunroof. Didn't see any way to turn that off, that's ok since I'll never use that, only a backup for the remote if it dies. In the hot Texas sun it helps to have the remote/key windows opening option and leave the tinted sunroof closed

I'm amazed so few people do this. I guess too much trouble for your average owner. I googled for an hour found nothing.
I found it under the KMB module. Disabled that damn key chime thing and alas...silence with key in ignition. How amazing. There are MANY times when I stop the engine and just want to leave key in and check something on phone or whatever, and keep radio on without that RIDICULOUS beep. Say to finish a song or whatever without interrupting it.
Thanks

ZUENDSCHLUESSEL_WARNUNG is the parameter. Can't wait to do this on my E90. For example. On phone, pull up, Engine off. Open door to get some breeze or fresh air. DING DING DING while still on phone. So you have to remove key to stop that. It's the little things (that **** me off, Kevin Fowler)

I'm glad that worked. I was guessing my way through that one. My ex-wife's Acura would only auto-lock for one of the two fobs. Different continent and manufacturer, but I thought the logic might be the same. The key chime with the door open would be in the Kombi. It'll probably still bong for a bit in the accessory position.
Edit: Ha, you beat me to it while I was writing.
Oh, and if you want to turn off the interlock that requires the clutch to be pressed to start the car, I'm pretty sure that's in the EWS module.

That's interesting. So the stupid auto lock is also linked to the key fob? Therefore different drivers with different keys, say husband and wife, one can auto lock and one does not? That's crazy haha. Cool though! Now that I understand it. The logic does sound the same.
It does not bong in accessory or when you just insert it as before, tested it. Just the initial startup bong. Perfect.
I don't mind that one as I usually leave the car in gear, not using ebrake unless on a hill. I live in mostly flat Texas

That's true that can be handy. When you're outside the vehicle and it's left in neutral, I agree. But you need your remote auto windows down to work on the key fob for that to be needed . On my old tacoma I rarely but sometimes use that, it's for that reason if it's in neutral. I rarely need to though it has a clutch start override button, they thought a little bit back then.
