Wiring Color Code at Reverse Lamp of 2011 MCS?

Installing a backup camera on Molly2's boot "grill". I'd like to get power from the wires at the backup lamp. I have three wires: brown, green, and black with white stripe. Which is ground? Which is backup lamp?

With a mulimeter, you should be able to check.
First, ground is typically the ground (negative).

Second, put the car in the reverse and probe with a test light / multimeter to see which wire carries voltage to the reverse lights.
Confirm that the wire 'loses' power when the car is removed out of reverse.

I can do that, Erik. Is the brown wire the system ground?

Are you planning on posting pics of the installation and finished install?

I hadn't planned to; not an elegant installation at all. I will snap a couple, though.

Typically, yes; but with anything electrical, always verify.
With a multimeter, touch the brown wire connection and the negative battery terminal to confirm electrical continuity.

SUCCESS: Backup Camera Installed :)

Today I installed the backup camera mentioned in my earlier posts. Here is a link to my captioned Picasa album:

FYI: the wires at the backup/rear fog lamp of a 2011 MCS are:

Brown = Ground
Green = Backup Lamp Power
Black with White Stripe = Rear Fog Lamp Power
