Homelink Garage door opener

Dont want door openers hanging everywhere, go to ebay or a junkyard and get a homelink opener module. some careful drilling and dremel work, wire to reading light power and ground wires and program up. Total cost $20 I have 3 openers and a factory look.

Thinking about doing this mod, how hard is it to pull the lights cover down?

You dont have to, you can pull the plug to it when you take down the sunroof trim ring. I tried to attach a picture of the finished product but it wont let me post it???!???!!?!

This is what it looks like finished. I installed mine last March. Requires a little cutting and trimming but the installation is really pretty simple, just pull down the sunroof trim and fit it in the space next to the sunroof switch. Wiring is just power & ground, you can tap into the clock for the power. Make sure you buy a rolling code HomeLink (newer versions) or it will only work with older garage door openers. The rolling code transmitters will work with newer rolling code openers and the old fix code openers.
