Third Brake Light Flasher

Just got my 3rd brake light flasher unit in the mail from xdponline.com. This is an alternative to a popular one a lot of Mini owners seem to use. Size-wise, this thing is...ahem...mini. About the size of a nickel and the thickness of 3 nickels stacked. All of the circuitry is encased in a resin type material so it looks waterproof. I bought this one as it is selectable for modes (flash speed and number of flashes). Also, $20 shipped seemed quite reasonable.

I'll install it in the next couple days. With my recently installed Moss Mini clear led 3rd brake light, this should be effective in getting the attention of sleepy tailgaters.

Update: got it installed. I have it set to strobe 6 flashes with a delay of 15 seconds before it strobes again. I double-sided taped and zipped tied the unit to the back of the 3rd brake light unit. All connections were soldered and heat shrunk instead of using the supplied crimps and tap.

Awesome, how hard is it to change the settings? I don't see switches or jumpers on it; does it use a pulse of power to that 5th wire?

To change modes just touch the two white wires together. If I decide that I need to change modes frequently, I'll put in a momentry switch attached to the two white wires.

You're welcome. Glad you like it. I ended up getting a few more for my other cars and put one in on my buddy's motorcycle.
