Battery replacement - Interstate compatibility??

I have a 2005 MINI Cooper S & it needs a new battery. Interstate makes a compatible - MegaTron 47 / 590 CCA / 75 month battery
Has anyone used this? In replacing, does anything need to be re-set? Service at the dealer is non-committal - "You might need this..." "Maybe your check engine light will come on..." "I can't really say..." "Maybe you could bring it in (even though he knew I couldn't).

The car, stored for the winter, is miles from anyplace. My goal is to purchase the battery, drop it in...then have it run like a champ :-)

If anyone knows of anything else I should anticipate, I'd appreciate your advice. Thanks a million!

Here's a thread for R53 battery compatibility.

On mine, I lose the settings for the clock, side window initialization,
trip odometer reading, and dash light brightness if I don't keep 12V
on the system when I change the battery.
Write down the trip odometer reading before you change it if you're
using it to figure gas mileage, the other things can be reset easily in a couple minutes.

You have an S, so the cars battery is in the cabin area. And this particular battery appears not to be a sealed type like an optima. And, it does not appear to have a venting hose like the MINI's battery. So it will be venting into your cabin.

That said, it's not compatible.
