2 pc white LED Audi style accent lights...on Mini

Hello All Fellow Mini Nuts...(GB PACKERS TOOK SUPERBOWL!!) Anyway, since I don't wish to run all lights for DRL's or the lack of on my 2010 S ... I was thinking of adding a sublight, preferably LED such as http://www.amazon.com/s/ref=nb_sb_no...white+led+audi
I was thinking (or maybe not thinking clearly) of using these as an always on if ignition is on kind of light. For now, not sure where they would go.

Obviously I think anything around the headlights will look lame. I was thinking one loop around the scoop , right on the outside edge where the black plastic meets the paint.
Or a curved line on the right and left side of the lower grill, where the 2011 model put a fake scoop looking thing, I'd curve these into a "V" or a ">" shape.
Suggestions?

Honestly I think the LED thing is already played and it's only been a year. To me one of the best things about the Mini is the classic look.

I think it was played as soon as it started! I call them fairly lights and they're about as useful as a hip-pocket on a vest.

I say try something with double stick tape and see if you like it.
Please share what you come up with.
Mods are personal but IMHO the scoop light sounds like a bit much.

I saw a new Chevy car about the size of a Cavalier with the led on the front and the angel eyes both at the car wash the other night..... If Chevy is doing it it's not for me.

I was trying to think back to an automotive design that was so quickly and universally copied. Maybe fins ?

I haven't seen it done on an R56 yet, but if it's not in the right spot it won't look tasteful. I believe I'm the first R53 to have done it, but if it wasn't for the design of the Aero kit I wouldn't have done it. (To each his/her own...)

Totally agree with you comments but then again everyone has thier own ideas of what is "tasteful"

I like the way yours looks and looking at the front of a R55/56/57 without an aero kit I don't see a place that would work IMHO

Nice, but too much going on in there for my taste. I keep it simple.

I found this on Ebay, has anyone attempt to do anything with the fog lights before ??

http://cgi.ebay.ca/ANGEL-EYES-4-WHIT...item35b039d3a2

not sure which one would actually fit a R56... they have another size too

btw, the pictures of the headlights above; I saw them on ebay, they are for up to 2007 models and it comes with an HID kit with it ...
