LED Bulbs

I have been asked about this a couple times so here is the list of what you need to do LEDS for Countryman Top to bottom(not including headlights).

I got all of my stuff from superbrightleds.com

2-WLEDx5 yellow(or white) for side markers#
4-WLEDx5 your color(mine are blue) for the puddle lights under each door
3-WLEDx5 white(choose your favorite white, mine are cool white) for the two foot wells in the front and the light in the boot
1-WLEDx5 your color(mine is cool white) for the dome light
2-WLEDx5 your color(mine is cool white) for the License Plate#*
2-WLEDX6 white(choose your favorite white, mine are cool white) for the driving lights above the fogs*
4-WLEDx6 white(choose your favorite white, mine are cool white)for the map lights front and rear

Taillights:
6-115x-x18-T Red 1156 For Brakes, tails and turns*
2-115x-x18-T CoolWht 1156, for reverse lights

Edit: Siriuszero has found that if you use the more expensive 45 LED towers, resistors are not needed, so I included the info here:
6-115x-x45-T Red 1156 For Brakes, tails and turns
2-115x-x45-T CoolWht 1156, for reverse lights
*= see my post about resistors
#=you will need to file down the outward facing blobs of plastic on the WLED-x5, don't worry, they are made of plastic they file down very easily with sand paper

I haven't switched the fogs yet, but probably will and will update when I do, they will def need resistors. I didn't do them on the front blinker and here's why:
1. LED's don't like to get hot and my xenons will give you a sunburn.
2. the chrome dusted ambers look better in the headlight housing because i have done a joey mod on mine.

I hope that's useful and that I get to see some pictures soon!

That is immensely helpful! Thank you!

How much did it all run you?

I'm curious to see what kind of difference it makes to the exterior lights.

Lights and resistors totaled less than $230. I'll take some night shots. It looks completely different.

What kind of resistors are you using?

For the side markers, I noticed you had another thread where you replaced them with a LED strip. Did you replace the strip with the one listed above or did you stick with the strip. The strip looks good, but I worry about the brightness. Granted, my side marker will not be blacked out...

Your car looks great BTW. I feel confident True Blue was the right color choice for me now

Resistors are from super bright. The smaller ones did the trick. I actually scrapped the strip LED side markers. I now have single cool white WLED-x5's in them and they are blacked out. I think it looks good. I may go back to yellow lights but for now the cool white.

Are these the resistors you're referring to?:

Will the smaller resistor work on the taillights as well? Did you have any problems with space?

We all look forward to the pictures!

Are those cool white ones as blue as they look in the pictures?

Thanks for the resistor tip!

I meant your license plate lights and reverse lights - the pictures make them look pretty blue

I think they just look very clean, there are two whites that they carry for the Reverse lights, warm and cool. The license plate ones come in three shades--cool, bright and warm. They are only $3 a piece so you might as well buy a couple extra and experiment. I live in SoFlo, where "bling is king" so I want mine to look like they are different.
It looks much better in person. Lights at night don't photograph very well.

Hmm.. Good point.

Don't get me wrong, I think your car looks great! Just curious is all because I know that night shots never show things right

They are under the door sill. They are called puddle lights. And yes, I do have the interior mood lighting, but the majority of the blue you are seeing is the puddle lights.

Those are all incandescent traditional numbers. ALL of the lights I have done are miniature wedge with the exception of the tails and reverse. Those are dual intensity twist lock. Once you get your car you will understand it further, but I would suggest that you either google the specs I give at the beginning of this thread or got to www.superbrightleds.com and look up the codes I have above. It is not nearly as complicated as you think. Good luck.

Did you use 1 resistor per light, or 1 per circuit?

Great info! Question with License Plate, based on your "post about resistors", it seems that you need a reistor for the license plate, but this post indicates otherwise. I just wanted to double check with you. Certainly not trying to be picky; wanted to make sure I ordered correctly (and I will include you're POC with hopes that you'll be able to get a discount next time).

Again, thanks for sharing all of your information!

The license plate does indeed need a resistor to fool the computer. I have coded those checks out of my computer, so I have removed mine. If you aren't interested in doing all that put in the resistor. I edited the post above. Nice catch.
