Electrical Moving the Microphone
nd3boy, mine was not long enough to route it through the same hole (up top) on the opposite side, but I could route it through the larger hole that is just to the side of where the microphone sits. Also, there is at least one other harness end up there that you may need to get around to give you a touch more length.
I moved mine over last week. Like others have noted, the wire is barely long enough to make it through the hole near the center. My wife says it makes a big difference and she can finally hear me when I use bluetooth in the car.
I moved it over about 10 minutes ago. I won't get to fully op-test it until after work, but voice commands seemed to work better. That is officially my first modification to any car ever. I feel very proud at the moment.
Today I took delivery of a 2013 Countryman. They have apparently placed an additional microphone above the driver's seat; see the red circle in the attached photo.
FWIW, I placed a call to my wife while driving on the freeway at 70mph and she said I sounded fine.

I moved mine a few days ago!
I took delivery on 12/12.
I'm surprised they hadn't moved it!
RealOEM shows the 2013 having only one microphone. Perhaps what is shown in MINIDan's picture is THE microphone, not a second microphone.
