Interior LED's

Hello Everyone, I just installed the Deluxe Interior LED kit from FastMini.Net and it looks great but I just have three questions.

1. When the car is locked and you click the Lock button and the interior lights come on, Do the Map lights also come on? I cannot remember now that I've switched everything around.

2. When in the car and you flip the center toggle to make all of the lights come on didn't that include also the map lights? because when I do they do not come on.

3. did anyone else get this kit have an issue with the trunk light not working? Does anyone have an idea what fuse it may be, Because I put the LED in the trunk and nothing; I then swapped out the original bulb and also nothing.

Other than that everything works fine.

Thanks for the help, Pics later when it's dark

Ok, So this is weird. Not even 1 whole min of usage of the Map lights and now they don't work at all...

You gotta black out the rings around your headlights with that name!

Map lights only come on manually so that is normal what you reported. Not sure what is going on in your trunk. I was going to say flip the LED around but the stocker is out too. I actually skipped modding the maplights because I think it is easier to read with halogen.

In modding my clubman, which is way more temperamental than the copper, I have seen "error free" LED's self destruct on the first useage. So maybe try another brand as long as the circuit is still live.

Sorry for not updating this sooner but I blew a fuse (F14) and the trunk and map lights went out, got a new 10Amp fuse popped it in and everything is working great!

Although one of the map lights looks a little purple-ish for my tastes... MAY swap those out for the same 5 LED lights that are used in the trunk, foot wells and puddle lights.

It looks great though and I am loving it! Hopefully my DRLs and Fogs come in the mail tomorrow and everything will be perfect!

Thanks One, Do it! its so much nicer than the old bulbs

Mini2na The DRLs are PIAA Xtreme white Wedge bulbs. They are the best matching DRLs I've seen so far this side of unreliable LEDs some people have used.

I bought them from amazon for $13

Ordered a few today thank you!

Including the chrome indicator bulbs to create the chrome headlight look

Any chance of a photo, head on of yours at night? (lights on obviously)

I want to eliminate like yours the contrast of White bright headlights and Murky yellow DRL's.

Nice, I'd do white turn signals my self but I think they are illegal in MA and I don't need anymore run-in's with the law

I'll get a picture head on as soon as possible, The weather has kinda turned over here so I'll get one when it clears up.

Thanks man, I only used the PIAA 168 lights for the DRL's. The fog lights are Hoen Xenonmatch H8 bulbs.
Funny you blew one too though, I popped it when installing the light in the trunk.
Btw do your map lights look kinda purple? like 6000k temp? mine do and I called Mach V and they said they got a bad shipment of lights, I gotta call today to get them replaced.

lucky you, I have to send mine out and get them replaced, For free of course. but still its just one more thing I have to do.

What is this bigger dome light you speak of? the one I got has 12 LED bulbs in it and is cut to fit the shape of the dome light, It puts out plenty of light. they made one bigger than that?!

Onemcs, I decided to grab a shot with my cellphone last night, its not the best but its not a bad representation of what the color is.

The glove compartment light just pops out, the unit including the button for when the door closes comes with it as a whole. Just slide something thin in between the piece and the glovebox and it pops right out, you can even use your fingers if you can get a nail in there.

The map lights are a little trickier. I used a flat head screwdriver to get in there but what you do is you pull down on the clear light housing while pushing it to the left if in drivers seat and pull to the right if in the passenger seat.

As for getting the bulbs in the map lights I used a pair of needle nosed pliers with some duct tape on the ends and pulled out the bulbs very gently and then put the new LEDs in with the pliers too.

Hope that helps
