Yeah... that's what I want to know. They are 4" diameter, and I think it would be cool to hook the angel eye up to the parkers and the main light as the fog light.

Cheers

actually I think these look pretty cool. http://store.ijdmtoy.com/Projector-F...ctor_sku73.htm

Anyone see any issues with mounting or bulb out warning problems?

according to the link you provided the diameter is only 3.15" or less then 3-1/4" not the 4" you state.

As for the OEM size it is actually a 3-3/4" opening in the bumper.

Depth my be a problem as the OEM space fromt eh bumper to the cover in the wheel well is approximately 4" - 5" and the light you are looking at is 5.11, SO it may need to stick out the front a slight bit more.

As for mounting you are probably going to have to make a custom bracket to mount them.

But if you can get it done that would look sweet.

BTW the description states that the item is "HID Ready" probably meaning that it does not come with the HID bulbs or wiring for it.

My guess is the warning probably has to do with the "rice" comment.

I can't offer any technical input, but I'd like to see them if you get it working. I'm typically not a fan of car crossdressing, aka halos on something other than a BMW, LED sweeps on something other than an audi, but Mini is owned by BMW, so it's sorta OK.

I just opted for 3000k HIDs in the stock housing, but I'm afraid that's just looking to start a fire.

Yeah I get what you are saying. I'm just not a fan of the crappy yellowish look of the factory parkers compared to the xenons. I thought the halo would match better.

I would also like to see photos and read about your experience, if you decide to do it. I've been toying with the idea of swapping the yellows for something whiter ... like you, I'm not wild about the yellow paired with the xenons.

So I know it's ebay.... but if these fit and plug and play like they say then it might be worth looking at.

For the price, they are near the Hella $$ and for the issues with fogging the hellas have it may not be so risky a purchase in terms of quality.

I guess I'm just trying to talk myself into it.

I had the Hella Optiluxes on my R50 and while they looked fabulous, they fogged like crazy, which would then cause the bulb housings to rust and the bulbs to fail. I tried silicone sealing the entire housing and it was still an issue. They were cheap enough that I'd just replace them once a year, but it got old.

I'd be interested in knowing if they fit though, because they do look awesome, and do have a white light instead of the yellow parking lamps. I'd put them in my R56 if not too tedious.

I saw on ebay... a projector halo setup for a GMC sierra or something, that looks like the mounting points would line up, or at least be close enough to make fit. All depends on the actual size of the light itself. I emailed them, but no reply yet.

Hello Group and Happy Holiday's
I did the modification on the lights, but i wanted to do something a little different.

I have the Xeon lights and for the turn signal's bulbs, i was thinking of putting HID lights.

Has anyone done anything like this. Is it possible on the fitting, would it be just easier just have a bright LED bulb and make the turn signal into a running light.

I want the turn signal bulb to be the running lights. Wiring is not the issue, Fitting HID is??
