So programming can potentially cost more than the original option without parts? Ouch.

And some dealers still claim they can't program them in. I am much happier with them as brake/tail light than as fog lights. Especially since they still work as fogs as the time you need them....assuming you are the type of driver to actually turn on your lights in inclement weather....but if you aren't well they have the same affect off in the fog as when they are off as brakes.

Looking at those lights closely, they have lenses on each LED. Typically that type of LED draws about 20ma each. It looks like your total current draw for each light is about 300mA (if I am off by a factor of 10 it will still work, you can verify with a VOM if unsure). If you run into a deadend at the dealer or want a less expensive way to connect the lights (prepare for a $170.00 programming fee), 300ma is not going to blow a fuse or anything if you simply tap into the front foglights. You are technically meeting all laws because there is an indicator present when they are on. It is about 1/2 hour worth of work to splice in and run a line up to the front fogs and you are done.

If it is any consolation I am using LED bulbs with 26 elements each in my rear fogs so the current draw would be similar. I spliced them together and go forward with 1 wire to one front fog and have no fuse or bulb warning problems.

I picked up the same lights on EBAY.... here is the ebay store.

My plan, being that we dont have a big fog issue in the US, is to tie them into the brake lights. Here is a company that can assist with that, and there is no need for programming.

Also, in order to match the clear on Blk fog lights, im thinking about getting these tail lights.

Has anyone found where i can get a replacement LED "Clear" 3rd brake light for the R57 Cabrio? I cant find it anywhere....

Every time I do a club drive, we end up driving very fast in and out of the clouds. Rear fogs were my biggest oops in ordering my car. So I'm waiting to see how these lights turn out.

There are 5 minis in this photo.

i think if i were to run them as rear fogs, i would just splice them into the front fogs, and they would come on together. That way no tricky switch work and no reprogramming, and no bulb warnings.....its all good!

From what i can tell, they only have fog lights for 2ng gen cars that have the removable black plugs in the rear bumper.

here is the Ebay Store for the Tail Lights

http://stores.ebay.com/Gear-Jammin-A...vcZ1?_nkw=mini

I should have them this friday, i will update with more pics then...

Has anyone seen a clear LED 3rd brake light for the R57 Cabrio?
