Aftermarket HID Ballast Mounting Point??

For those of you that purchased aftermarket hid kit's, where did you mou t your ballast? Everything is in, works great but trying to find a good point to mount the ballast? Thanks!!

how big is the ballast? i have the ultra slim one (the ones that motorcycle uses) so i just put it where the insulator is (that black sheet on the hood) thats where i tucked mine. hope that helps

Did you just tuck it under the insulator? It is about 1 inch thick. Doesn't it get hot???

yeah, i tuck it in the black insulator, hot from the engine? most likely, but it doesnt seem to affect itz performance since i had it for a year already. yeah, i believe the 1" thick ballast can fit.

If you take out the engine compartment insulator, you can mount the ballast right to the subframe of the hood, and run the wires through an existing hole in the frame of the hood. Worked perfect. Took pics if anyone wants to see. Thank you all for your help!!

i mounted mine by the fire wall and made my own wire harnesses that feed the headlights than i retrofited the aftermarket hids to oem hid headlight assemblies
