Well here is what Ive done:
I wanted to keep the stock stereo look and set up, but I do like to FEEL my music
so I took my pawn shop Boss Amp (1000w) and Audio-something Sub (800w) out of my pickup and cut the box down so it only took up about half of the boot
.
There were no RCA outputs on my stock stereo ('04 MCS) so I got a output line converter for $20 to tap into the Rear speaker lines at the back of the stereo and tada: "Sub outputs"
I also got the "aux imput" connector from Mini so I could hook up my Ipod. It just plugs into one of the small squares of prongs.
Last thing I did was put in a "input volume control ****" into the RCA line ($20) and put it on the drivers side of the shift column so its hidden but well in reach.
Its not the greatest sound system in the world, but for less than $200 for everything but the Ipod
I'm happy with it.
