Tapping circuit:Which one is the power supply that is only activated by the ignition?
Hi guys, I got my steering column cover off. Decided to tap that for the power for my water/meth pump and controller. There are 5 wires. I'll take a photo in half an hour.
Which one do I tap into so that it's only on when the ignition of the key is turned. I don't want to tape into the permanent power supply (the one leading from the battery).
I also don't want to poke a gazillion holes in my wiring if I can avoid to :D

(They are those 5-6 thickish wires, about 3-4mm in width)
I think a lot of people tap into this wire for their big sound systems. Or so I am told
