Hi-Lo HID aftermarket install problem

I have R56 S. Have installed many HID kits on past vehicles, however...

Installed aftermarket Hi-Lo 55watt HID from Apexcone. Problem is, I am now getting bulb-out warnings for both high and low beam. This install uses a relay that picks up off the driver's side bulb socket with 3 wires (highbeam, low, and ground) to tell the relay what to do and activates the small motor on the bulb to move it in the housing. Power does not come from the way it normally does in traditional aftermarket HID, which is right through the factory harness. As there is nothing now plugged into the passenger-side socket, I thought that was the problem. First I tried running an additional 3 wires to tie into the driver's side set of relay wires. No fix. Then I plugged the factory bulb back into the pass socket. No fix. The seller has been unable to assist me with this as they have not had this specific car to work on.

Any ideas? Thinking maybe a resistor or 4 will fool the factory computer, but I am not an EE and don't want to melt down the harness.

Thanks!

The circuit that the new light run off of is probably not drawing enough current off of the drives side bulb socket to fool the bulb out circuit in the car.

To be sure you have do not have other problems i would put both the original bulbs back in and check to see if you get a warning light. If you do an know that all the bulb filliments are good then you have danaged something else in the car. If by doing this you do not get a warning light then the car is still oaky and you will just need to figure out what size resistors you will need to install to foo the bulb out circuit.

BTW these resistors will b e fairly large and generate a lot of heat.

My susggestion is to remove this type of HID lighting and find another type that runs from the standard sockets and uses the standard signals to do what you want.
