Electrical Gurus: Mood Lights & Dome Light

Is there a way to get the mood lights to turn on without turning the driving lights and the ignition on?

Also, how could I turn off the automatic dome light that comes on when you get in the car and turn the car off. Basically I would want a manual switch to control the light.
TIA!

These are all actually controlled by the computer so there is no easy way to add a switch.

As for the mood lights - No there is no way to get all of them to come on without the headlights being on.

Over head dome light - You could put in a switch that would turn it off but then there still would be no way of turning it on when needed if the extra switch was in the off position. If would mean turning on the extra switch and then pushing on the ceiling toggle to turn the light on.

If you hold the dome light switch down until the light turns off the dome will stay off until you do the opposite.

Just tried that in my Clubman and it did not work. As soon as i locked the car and then unlocked it the light came right back on. But it did work if i did not lock the car.

I was thinking it would be nice if I can have just the mood lights on without being noticed (I have dark tints). It can come in handy in many situations.
