$24k is a tad bit high not by much though so I'd start it at that price, and it'd give you some wiggle room down to the $21-22k it would more than likely sell for. At $24k youre still in the price range of a brand new CooperS with full warranty so I think some people will look at that right away. at $21k its not a bad price.

Hey there, 'bear...

I think I'm in Rob's camp wrt wiggle room. It probably depends on how wide you cast your advertising net. I imagine the potential market in rural areas is pretty small but if you get the word out to the nearest urban centers--even Chicago and St. Louie--you'll greatly expand the likely customer pool.

Good luck with the sale...can't wait to see your Clubbie. What sort of specs are you considering?

Good advice, I think. If I have to go lower than $22k, I'll probably do without the Clubman. Thanks for your thoughts.

Yes, I'm thinking that you're right about St. Louis and Chicago: more potential buyers closer to the dealerships.

I don't have a complete set of specifics yet on the Clubman. I would want the leather sport seats. Molly's are the most comfortable chairs I have -- home, office, anywhere. When my back hurts, I go for a drive -- yet another excuse to drive Molly

Mrs. Oldsbear thinks I should consider the automatic transmission; hard telling when one of my legs is going to quit working. Not sold on the idea yet, but it's a possibility.

No packages, no sunroof, no heated seats, no navigation, no Bluetooth or HD radio. I might go for a softer ride, though I don't want to sacrifice handling.

Thanks for your thoughts

I checked prices on Edmunds.com its probably one of the more reliable sources kbb just isnt updated as much anymore from what I've been told by the dealerships.

I looked it up there. Seems like they are a little out of touch on characteristics, but it's interesting how they price-out the individual options. Thanks for the tip.

Even though there is a larger market in the St. Louis area sometimes that means supply is larger too if you watch the MINI's that go up for sale in Iowa City that the dealers purchase at auction there usually sold for 10 - 15% over KBB in about 1 week or less. Just my observation demmand is there just no supply.
